Group Profile

The Ventura County Chapter was a part of the original Southern California Chapter established in 1951.  A Ventura County Branch of the Southern California Chapter was established in 1982.  In 1995 the Board of Directors of the American Public Works Association approved a petition for Chapter status.  The Chapter meets the second Thursday of each month (except July and August) for lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Orchid Room in Camarillo.  The luncheon programs feature excellent food, relevant current programs, and an opportunity for networking in a pleasant atmosphere.

The American Public Works Association exists to develop and support the people, agencies, and organizations that plan, build, maintain, and improve our communities. Working together, APWA and its membership contribute to a higher and sustainable quality of life.

Ventura County Chapter works in concert with the National APWA to locally promote professional excellence and awareness of public works impacts in our community.
