Supervising Engineer (Land Development)

The City of Santa Barbara Public Works Department is seeking a knowledgeable Supervising Engineer. This position is responsible for supervising, assigning and reviewing the work of staff responsible for professional and technical engineering operations for the Public Works Department including the areas of streets, water, wastewater, parks and buildings; This position will review and oversee the permitting of complex engineering designs, plans, specifications, and reports and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned to area of responsibility.  Manages the pending plan review list, coordinates with other supervisors, and participates in Land Development Team processes.  This position is in the Land Development section of the Engineering Division and will be responsible for supervising the Public Works Permit Counter.
