Important Message from APWA Regarding COVID- ....

APWA Members and Friends:

APWA is closely following the spread of COVID-19 and its effects on both the public and our public works family. Because many of you are on the front lines and in many cases are first responders, it is important for you to have the resources and information you need to perform your responsibilities safely and to respond to your own community's needs.

With that in mind, APWA has developed a "Coronavirus and the Public Works Community" resource webpage. Here you'll find information and links broken down into three categories: ResourcesNews, and Share Your Experience. The Resources section provides you with links to health organizations, federal agencies, APWA's partner organizations, and other public works-specific websites. In the News section, you can find the latest updates on federal actions for COVID-19 emergency funds and links to the latest editions of the APWA Washington Report for additional federal legislation and guidelines. The Share Your Experience section of the page provides you with links to APWA's Public Works COVID-19 Discussion Board where you can connect with others in the public works community to share your experiences and best practices and a link to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) survey where you can let the federal government know how to better assist you and your community. Canadian members can find Canadian-specific resources and updates on the CPWA website.

Also on the webpage, you'll find links to APWA's updated educational offerings. We know many of you have staff working remotely and are taking advantage of this time to continue their professional development. We want to fully support you in this effort by providing complimentary access to APWA’s Members’ Library and live Click, Listen & Learn webinars to all public works professionals–members and non-members–through May 25. We're also offering a 20% discount on all of our e-Courses during this time.

We hope you'll find these resources useful as we navigate through this time of uncertainty. If you have other ideas as to how we can help support the public works community, please share them with us.

We'll get through this together.

Signed,

Your APWA Ventura County Chapter and APWA National
